Is it Legal ?
Of course it is !
When you buy a phone, the network provider add a network restriction to permit only use of the device with simcard that belongs to the same provider.
That is named "SIMlock".
Absolutely no law forbid to take off this restriciton. Why then would Service provider lock their phones ?
Well that's simple: most of the time you buy the device at very low price with contract or subscription. Network provider companies needs some return on investment, and this restriction allow them to plan on
this ROI during all device lifes untill it's locked.
But this device belongs to YOU, it is your entire right to use this cellphone with any other network if you intend to !
Whatever, unlock a phone doesn't mean you can stop subscription before legal term expiration, and though your device is free, without restriction, you are supposed to pay your service supplier subscription till end of current term.

Customers Testimonials
Cliff - August 20, 2010
It worked!!! Just make sure that you enter the correct network! This is my wife's phone that she's had for about 4 years now. We started with AT&T, then Cingular (that's when she got this new free phone), then back to AT&T. So "I thought" that since we have AT&T now, that's what I entered for our network. They gave me the code. I tried it and got an ERROR message, so stopped that and put sim back in the phone and thankfully it still worked! I went ahead and ordered another code (since it was only $5.99 for this phone) and contacted these folks because I read that sometimes you can only try to unlock once. They told me to go ahead. I did, and now we have a $11.98 Nokia 6061 that's unlocked! Ivan - September 23, 2009
Very fast delivery and easy to follow instructions, i'm glad of your unlock site, thanks!
